August 6, 2010 – Redwood
City, CA. – Authernative, Inc., a developer of innovative
user authentication and identity management technologies
has aligned with LexisNexis® Risk Solutions to equip
customers with user authentication and verification
capabilities during log-in, credentialing, enrollment,
reset & monitoring. The alliance supports a growing
demand for the combination of user verification and
authentication to help guard against identity theft
and unauthorized access, while complying with Section
326 of the USA Patriot Act for account opening.
Authernative’s AuthGuard®
user authentication solution provides a suite of one-factor,
layered, and multi-factor authentication to meet a wide
range of security and usability requirements. AuthGuard®
user authentication is electronically mass deployable,
has scalable security, high usability, low total cost
of ownership, and efficient integration/customization
options with legacy environments. The product provides
fully automated operation modes for secure login, set-up,
and reset of all AuthGuard® authentication methods including
enhanced password, pattern-based one-time pin, one-time
challenge one-time response, out-of-band, soft mobile
client, secure in- and out-of-band mutual authentication.
“Correctly identifying
and establishing an individual’s identity across a diverse
population is a foundational component of user authentication.
After surveying the market for available identity proofing
solutions, we are pleased to be partnering with LexisNexis
Risk Solutions for this capability. The sophistication
and flexibility of LexisNexis’ verification and knowledge
based authentication offerings, powered by their broad
data coverage, provide the perfect complement to Authernative’s
AuthGuard solution”, said Authernative, Inc. Vice President,
Max Berman.
LexisNexis® Risk identity
verification, validation, and risk detection capabilities
have been incorporated into Authernative AuthGuard®
user authentication & credentialing solution to instantly
verify consumer and business identities, spot potential
fraud, or identity theft, and automatically flag discrepancies
found in information provided by the consumer.
AuthGuard® now incorporates
a real-time, interactive verification quiz from LexisNexis
Risk Solutions used prior to issuance of AuthGuard credentials,
reset and account authorization, which increases assurance
that applicants are properly verified by checking their
answers against public, private and proprietary data.
“The integration of these
solutions enables secure and accurate enrollment and
verification of users and provides identity assurance
throughout the lifespan of the account. Customers can
now benefit from a true end-to-end solution for user
authentication, identity verification, and risk assessment”,
said LexisNexis Risk Solutions Vice President, Dennis
Becker.
Along with security benefits,
the integrated solutions will help customers reduce
costs and increase efficiencies. The streamlined account
registration process will not require paper-based proof
of identity. Online identities can be verified electronically
and simultaneously for account credentials and applications,
whether at financial institutions, credit providers,
insurers, healthcare or government agencies.
