Open platform Java servlet/applet,
web and database client - server technologies are used
in the software implementation of AuthGuard® in combination
with secure Internet protocol HTTP(S) and standard SKE
(Symmetric Key Encryption) algorithms.
Online user access to
any web resource (Step 1) begins with re-directing the
on-line user to the Authentication Server Login Page
(Step 2). The login process is seamless to the user,
who is prompted into an interactive dialog (Step 3)
with the Authentication Server through the Graphical
User Interface. The dialog is based on AuthGuard’s authentication
methods permitted by the administrator including the
methods based on the patented Random Partial Shared
Secret Recognition algorithm (RPSSR). The login process
also employs a highly secure proprietary encryption
key management system integrated with the RPSSR authentication
protocol; the combination of these assures high security
level at credential entry devices, communication lines,
and databases during every session’s user authentication
process. Once the Authentication Server positively identified
the online user, he is rerouted to the initial web resource
destination (steps 4 and 5) the user was accessing.
Authernative AuthGuard®
allows user store integration with legacy user stores
either in SQL or LDAP environments.
