Len L. Mizrah, Ph.D.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Len Mizrah brings several decades of senior management,
scientific, and engineering experience and expertise
in software, microelectronics, and physics. Prior to
Authernative, Dr. Mizrah led engineering teams at MIPS
Technologies, Hitachi Micro Systems, Sun Microsystems,
and Fujitsu Microelectronics in developing microprocessor
design infrastructure including CAD methodologies, EDA
software tools, Internet, intranet & extranet security,
database management, physical design verification, device
modeling and characterization. Before that, he served
as a physicist with the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences,
Institute of Physics. He worked in several fields of
physics and microelectronics on numerous projects and
obtained fundamental results in research of radiation
effects in semiconductors.
Dr. Mizrah has published
a number of articles in various silicon electronics
and physics magazines, developed and commercialized
EDA software tools. He is the sole author of granted and
pending U.S. and International patents in the areas
of authentication technology, encryption key management
protocols, and security and privacy of financial transaction
processing systems. Dr. Mizrah is a member of IEEE and
APS, and Adjunct Research Professor in the College of
Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology at California
State University in Chico. He was a VLSI design and
technology lecturer at the California Cogswell Polytechnical
College in Sunnyvale. He has also been named in the
Marquise “Who’s Who in America” (Science and Engineering,
Second edition, 1994) and in several publications of
the American Bibliographical Institute.
Len Mizrah is a graduate
of Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (M.S. in
Electronics and Engineering Physics), and Kiev Institute
of Physics (Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics). He studied
two years of business administration at Moscow State
University of Management.
Rear Admiral Robert L. Toney, USN (Ret)
Chairman of the Board
Admiral Toney retired in 1994 from the Navy after 34
years of distinguished service. While in the Navy, Admiral
Toney was Commander of four organizations: Naval Surface
Group, Naval Base, Logistics Group One, and Maritime
Defense Command. Prior to that, he was Director of Logistics
and Security Assistance, U.S. Pacific Command.
From 1991 to 1996, he
was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Oakland
Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Admiral Toney was
also the Executive Vice President of Business Development
of F.E. Jordan and Associates. His business and community
affiliations include: Past Interim President, Bay Area
Urban League; Director, Bank of the West; Director,
Levine-Fricke-Recon Advisory Board; Director, Junior
Achievement of the San Francisco Bay Area; and Member,
President’s Advisory Board, Chico State University.
Admiral Toney holds an
Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humane Letters from Golden
Gate University, San Francisco, CA, and an Honorary
Doctorate Degree in Humane Letters from National University,
San Diego, CA, and a B.A. Social Sciences (Pre-law)
Chico State University, Chico, CA. He is also a Graduate,
of the National and International Security Course, Harvard
University, Cambridge, MA
Mario Rosati, Board Member
General Partner, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati
Mr. Rosati is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee,
which is elected by the Members of the firm to manage
the firm. He has specialized in Corporate Law, especially
as it relates to high-technology companies since 1971.
Mr. Rosati is also the managing partner of WS Investments,
an investment partnership, composed of the Members of
the firm and a trust for certain associates of the firm.
WS Investments has invested in a number of emerging
corporations over the years.
Mr. Rosati is a director
of Aehr Test Systems, Mountain View, California; Genus,
Inc., Mountain View, California; Ross Systems, Atlanta,
Georgia; Sanmina Corporation, San Jose, California and
Vivus, Inc., Mountain View, California; all publicly
traded companies, and several privately-held companies.
Mr. Rosati is on the UC
Berkeley Foundation Board of Trustees, serves on the
Board of Advisors for the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship
and Innovation, and an advisor to the Technology Commercialization
Office at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He has also
participated in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Task Force to the office of the President Elect, Ronald
Reagan.
He received his Law degree
from Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley.
Peggy Taylor, Board Member
Peggy was formerly the President of PeopleSoft Investments,
Inc. She is an advisor to and an investor of numerous
start-ups and was honored by the Forum of Women Entrepreneurs
with their FWE Entrepreneurial Achievement Award in
1999.
Prior to managing investments
and advising start-ups, Peggy served from 1989 to 1999
as a Senior Vice President and member of the Management
Team at PeopleSoft, Inc. In this role, she has managed
all corporate operations, including product development,
customer services, professional services, and administration.
She also managed the PeopleSoft Business Network and
PeopleSoft’s e-commerce products.
Prior to joining PeopleSoft,
Peggy was Vice President of Trust and Investment Management
at the Hibernia Bank in San Francisco, CA. During her
three-year tenure, assets increased from $300 to $500
million. Previously, Peggy worked at the Bank of California,
in San Francisco, as Vice President and Director of
Organization, Planning, and Development, where she was
in charge of all personnel related operations. Peggy
is on the board of directors at several companies, including
Fair Isaac (FIC),
RightNow Technologies (RNOW),
Aravo Solutions, and HireRight (HIRE). Peggy graduated Magna
Cum Laude from Lone Mountain College in San Francisco
with a B.A. in Communications and Psychology.
Dr. Glen O. Toney,
Board Member
Dr Glen Toney serves on the Board of Trustees of the
California State University System. Before that, Dr.
Toney held the position of Group Vice President of Corporate
Affairs at Applied Materials. In a prior role, he served
as the Group Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate
Affairs. Dr. Toney has worked at Applied Materials since
1979. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the
Applied Materials Foundation and represents the company
on the Board of Directors of the Applied Materials-Shanghai
Research and Development Fund. He formed and served
as President of Applied Global University.
Prior to employment with
Applied Materials, Dr. Toney held several positions
in education and business industries. He worked as the
Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Palo Alto
Unified School District, Assistant Superintendent of
Schools for the Ravenswood City School District, and
a Mathematician and Systems Analyst for Lockheed Missile
and Space.
Dr. Toney also served
as Chairman of the Board of the 21st Century Education
Initiative, part of the Joint Venture: Silicon Valley
(JVSV) Network. He is on the Board of Trustees of the
Robert Noyce Foundation, an educational foundation established
by the Noyce Family in honor of Robert Noyce, the co-founder
of Intel Corporation. In addition, he serves on the
Advisory Board of School of Engineering and Science
at California State University, Chico, and is also on
the board of directors at Andrew Corporation (ANDW).
Dr. Toney has two undergraduate
degrees, a B.A. in Philosophy from California State
University at Chico, and a B.S. with honors in Mathematics
from San Jose State University. He received his M.A.
in Instructional Technology from San Jose State University,
and earned his Doctorate in Organizational Behavior
from the University of Southern California.
